Default Well, I took the Leap

I've been lurking on this forum since last August and looking for Hi Lo. Last Saturday I purchased a 2007 23 foot classic.

I got to see the good and the bad of the Hi Lo all in one day. I purchased the trailer about 4 hours away from me and the tow home was uneventful and the trailer pulled great even without a weight distribution hitch. I got home and put the trailer in the up position to continue to look through it. I knew some bad weather was coming that night so when I went to put it down the left rear cable broke.

So I have ordered 4 new cables and I am waiting for them to arrive so I can start my first repair on the trailer. Thankfully I'm pretty handy and the instructions to repair don't look to daring so wish me luck.

Thank you to everyone who had contributed to this site and I look forward to years of camping in my new (to me) Hi Lo.

Where did you get the cables. I just got a 83 Funlite and just found a broken cable.

Default Repairing broken cable

It is much cheaper to get the materials and make your own cables. Do a search for back recent posts on this.
