Default Over Head bunk

I am interested in buying in whole or part, the overhead bunk from anyone with a hilo or knows where I could at least get the wall mounting brackets? From the back side, for lack of better term lets call that the dog leg or Hinges. the rest looks like regular gate hardware to me, and the kickstand would be easy for me to build. still interested in parts or the whole thing, I live in KS. shipping would be the hitch, unless you live in neighboring states.

THanks and keep an eye out...

Hey Sting,

Check out the posts on the trading post section of this forum. There is a listing from boxer46 wanting to sell the complete bunk setup out of his HiLo. He's near Youngstown, Ohio.

If you get one make sure you can haul it. I hauled one from the factory for my dealer friend and it pretty well filled the back end of his Suburban with the second row seat folded down.

Can you actually fit one of those things through the door of a HiLo with the top "assembled" to the bottom half? I haven't measured, but I think I'd have a problem in my 1707T.

Might be easier to "prefab" one yourself in two halves that could be "mated" once inside the trailer.

My camper is a 5th wheel with a big door on the back to load 4wheelers or in my case, motorcycles (Toy_Hauler). So I can get it in easy enough.

BTW on the Yahoo groups hilo forums, about 2-3 months back, someone answered a post to sell one, (never heard back from them) and I thought one guy said that the tops were on the campers before they started putting in things, like the fold down bed, so it should fit, through the normal door, I guess. Well I wnt and checked, maybe I dreamed about readin that? others have taken the bunks out though.

I removed the bunk out our 21TL and it went through the door just fine just had to do some funky body positions while getting it turned just right to go out.

Pictures would be helpful for the bunk bed parts. If anyone has a new line on the parts I would greatly appericate it.

Good question - and the answer is 'No, you can't"

I removed my bed because I'll never use it, and it took 80# of weight off my 1995 H-Lo. I'd rather bring 80# of food & booze! HA HA!

I'd be willing to part with mine if anyone is looking. IT'S NEVER BEEN USED! Still had the plastic on it!

Jack, you and I aren't too terribly far from each other, I would like to be able to keep track of this bed and parts, if you still have this, for I might be out your way, in the not too distant future, for a motorcycle event, but it will be earlier next year (2012).
