Tim. The reason I don't want surge brake is I heard it was close to impossible to get repairs or new ones put on. And if the trailer is old enough to have surge brakes there probably no longer good....

convert surge brakes to electric disk brakes
Anyone on here that has had old surge brakes on old kilos converted to electric disk brakes? how much did it cost? I know you have to put a new Axel on to get electric brakes. Who did it? A auto...

Pulling with out trailer brakes/ and venting
I am interested in buying a very old 1960s hilo that has bad breaks and can no longer be replaced. The dry weight is 2600 pounds. So probably 3000 pounds loaded. I have a 1/2 ton chevy cheyenne...

1986 funlite wall frame material?

weight of the old 14 ft. hilo's?
Does any one know how much a 1973 14 ft. weighs. They are calling it a 12 foot, but I think that's really the 14 foot model. The nada guides don't go back far enough to have any 14 ft in it.I think...

Thank you for the suggestion. I had downloaded the Owners Manual 1977 2577. I found nothing in it saying it had a manual lift. But I think it is a much longer trailer then 18'which I want to look at....
