I did check the road conditions and you are correct there is still some construction on CA140 east of Mariposa, but given the choice between Priest grade, an 8000 ft pass or road...

The generator is on the wish list, which I plan to purchase before our Yellowstone trip next fall. I believe leaving the base cabinet doors ajar should provide enough warmth to keep the water lines...
