Inside the refridgerator cover, there is a 20 amp yellow standard blade fuse that runs into the 12 volt wiring and is connected to the 12 volt heating element. This may be your issue.

That's pretty normal. It will drain your battery all kinds of fast though. propane is the most efficient way of cooling the fridge followed by the AC heating element. Use 12 volt power when traveling...
