I am replacing the cables in my 69 Snyder Hi Lo. Should the camper be in the raised or lowered position when replacing these cables?

I’m looking for a front window and awning for a 1969 TowLow. If anyone could help me find them or possibly has some for sale I would be highly interested! My dad and I are currently attempting to restore one I found recently.
