I purchased the 1707T knowing it needed some TLC. I attached the file to show from start to finish for those interested in doing the same.

Hi K and welcome! That's a very nice summary of your complete rebuild of a 17ft HiLo! (Same model and year as mine.) You do pretty work. I think you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of your camper. It's a great size for boondock camping in National Forests. I'm glad you decided to install a Fan-Tastic Fan, I've certainly appreciated mine.

Thank you!
My 1st trip last weekend was great. I also have a A194HW that I have been using for a couple years while looking for a single axle Hi-lo.
Great purchase, really like the 1707T!

What a shame the condition of this HiLo. Glad you were able to repair this one. Probably better than factory. Are you ready to repair other HiLos? Thanks for the documentation.

I might consider doing another one. It was a fun project and I learned a lot along the way. These are fairly simple campers that are well built. I would do a couple things different to make the renovation even better.

Nice work on this trailer! Any chance you have extra guide blocks? Or know where to find them? Renovating a 1987 hi lo and it's missing two guide blocks. Thank you!

Hi Nate,
I make them. The universal blocks have the original bolt pattern and an additional set of bolt holes in case the original bolts are broke off and still in the holes. I can ship you as many as you need. They are $20.00 each. I can accept paypal if you're interested. You can contact me directly. kschaldach22@gmail.com
