The light fixture just over the edge of the sink had begun rubbing on the sink when the trailer was down. I ignored it. Eventually the clear plastic and housing broke from the pressure during travel. I looked for an original replacement but couldn't find one. Looking for other replacements I couldn't find one that wasn't overly expensive or too big. So I bought a simple dome light.
The problem was that when mounted it would require I cut into the bottom of the cabinet which I didn't want to do nor would it cover the previous screw holes. But I also 3D print so I crafted a solution. The asymmetry of the design was required as the power lines were not within the footprint of the screw holes, so it had to be covered and give enough vertical space to house the wiring and connectors. Not bad looking if I say so myself. It's also about 3/4 the height of the original fixture ensuring no contact with anything when the trailer is down.
It doesn't fit as flush as id like so I plan to print a more robust version that should resolve that.
