Help, new owner !

I am a new owner of a '87 Fun Maker and have no owners manual.
I don't know where anything is and am having quite a time trying to figure things out.
There is a hose connection on the left side (facing forward) but there is also a locked compartment labeled "potable water". Are there two water tanks, one for flushing and washing dishes and another for drinkable? Trying to fill the tank and take the camper out but need water in it.

Is there some place I can obtain an owners manual? I am in a real quandary.

Look for an owner's manual on the front page of this forum....scroll down to the bottom of the page looking for the red bar that says "LIBRARY". There's a button under there for owner's manuals. Look through those and if you don't find a manual for 1987, just look for a manual from a year close to '87. Things didn't change that much from year to year.

You have 2 water inlets. The one behind the locked door will allow you to fill up the water storage tank in your RV. Once you fill it up there's a 12 volt motor that should provide water pressure to all the water faucets, toilet, shower, etc.

The other water inlet allows you to use "city water" from the campground.

So, you generally use one or the other......water stored on-board, or city water.

I use the city water if possible to avoid hauling the extra weight of a full water tank.

Before using the stored water tank, you might disinfect it by running some water with a dash of plain household bleach through the system, then rinse twice.

Jerry's campers in Madison, Wi. has always been the Hi-Lo dealer for Wisconsin. We didn't get a manual for our camper when we bought our 2nd one but he furnished us with a general info manual explaining the main things. Our Tow-Lite has a shower and toilet although we seldom use the shower it's there if we don't have a shower at the campsite. Be sure and watc
h for roof leaks as I had one in the area around the sink window and it cause a lot of damage where it rotted the plywood and the camper place I took it to wanted $3000.00 to fix it. I rented a storage rental bin and fixed it myself for under $300.00 so check caulking around roof edge and around windows. The 1st time I used a silicon caulk and after a couple of years it just peeled off so next time I used gutter sealant.
