Hello! We lowered our 2002 HI Lo RK 17 foot a few months ago. The battery is dead and we need to lift it. Any advise would be appreciated.

If you have the optional manual lift device, just open the front of the battery compartment and stick a rod into the receptacle you see there and move it back and forth. If not, plug the trailer into shore power to charge the battery and then raise it electrically. If you can't do either of these, you'll need to jack it up with farm jacks, or lift it with strong, helpful neighbors far enough to attach jumper cables to the battery and power the lift motor from your tow vehicle. If you lift it with "manpower", you'll need some way to keep it up once raised (4-2x4s will do the trick).

I'd go with Jack's advice. Connect AC power and you'll be able to lift/lower the top.
However, you'll have to wait for the battery to be charged! shore power alone will NOT raise the top. There's not enough Amperage from the converter. But, shore power MAY assist a weak battery enough to get the top up. The lift motor pulls around 50 Amps. The converter can only deliver around 7 Amps I think.

Thanks for the help. My husband was able to use a jack, and we got the top up. Now we can get to the battery. We be replacing that very soon.

I did replace the Elixir 45 with a newer PDU, so my experience was different when my battery was dead. All I had to do was connect my gen to the trailer and it worked.
