Recently our 2005 27 ft. Towlite would not raise up. The pump would run but the actuator wouldn't build pressure to raise the unit. It looked like the actuator piston seal had gave out and fluid was just going through it and back to the reservoir. I could not find a new actuator like the one that was in it so I took it to a hydraulic shop and had it rebuilt. They said the interior of the cylinder was in good shape but it needed new seals. While they were working on it I found a new Hydraulic Pump Unit on Ebay that was the same part number as the one we have. Part No. M-3519-0106. It is made by Bucher. I think they took over the Monarch pump line. It is identical to the old one we had and was a simple R & I job to install it. I replaced the pump mainly because the rest of the Hi Lo is in really good shape and this will keep it going for a long time to come. While doing this project I also replaced the poly return line, guide rod, lubed the pulleys and cables and a few other minor things that needed attention. The new pump works great and it raises and lowers smoothly and quietly.

Maintenance is the key. Check out NRVTA in Athens, Texas. I took the first week and wished I had done it years ago.
