Switch on side of tongue

I just purchased a 1999 hilo 26 ft camper. There is a switch on the left side of the tongue next to compartment for battery and hydro pump. I do not know what it is for? Does anyone know what this switch is for?

That's the electric brake, break away switch, there should be a cable attached to it that attaches to the tow vehicle.
