Default Reno, NV.

Looking for any owners in the Reno, NV. area or even Carson City or Sacramento area. Just so the Wife and I can see one up close and talk about it with the owner. Have looked at other travel trailer but got interested in Hi-Lo's. Thanks, Dario

What a great bunch of people on this forum! I'm sure there are very few members that personally know one another, but we respond as if everyone is a life long friend and I am very proud to be a part of the forum, though my knowledge on most matters is limited.

It's a collective Garry. As individuals we can't know it all. As a group, we are a force to be reckoned with. LOL

Thanks.
Is there any reason that you can not travel with the refrigerator on the gas setting and the circulator fan on? I see that there are vent for the refrigerator when the top is down.
Thanks,
Good Life

Hi Dennis,

There is an ongoing debate within the RV community on this subject. Many travel with their fridge on propane and many, like myself, do not. I have read too many horror stories of fires caused by fridges to feel comfortable doing it. And the HiLo design makes it even more restrictive. Others will fill you in on that, I'm sure.

I recommend you do some research on it. Here is one example of a gas station fire reportedly caused by an open flame pilot light on a RV:

I had a gas station nozzle that was left in the "activated" position pump fuel out onto the ground before I managed to turn it off. It pumped quite a bit - certainly enough to cause a fire if it had come into the vicinity of a flame.

I guess there are people who deliberately set the fuel nozzles this way when they finish fueling to give the next person a "surprise". Pretty sad commentary on human thinking if you ask me.
