I've expanded my search to include the Award. I'm going to Houston Fri. to look at a 1994 727. Present owner is 83 and he has owned it since 1996. Pics look great and he's asking $6100. It's on Houston CR if you want to see it. It's been stored under cover since 1996 when not in use. He emailed interior pics and it looks great.

Default Buying a used Rv

Make a copy of the things to lookfor in a used unit. Many of the appliances and their operation are the same. Sounds like it has been well kept-cared for. When was the last time he used it. Check the date on the tires. Little use could mean you may have to replace them. Know your NADA price.

Wife didn't like the small bed against the wall on the Award trailer. So, back to the Hilo. "DW not happy, nobody happy."

Default Looking for a HiLo

I agree about being crammed against a wall. The #1 thing i read on camping forums is to pick a floor plan that works for you. Take your time even if it takes several years to find the right one for you. Remember it is a buyers market.

Default Buying a used HiLo

You should seriously consider buying the 2203 towlite that Fireballsocal has for sale. It is in your price range and seems to be in exceptional condition with extras. See his post from 7-26-2012 and 9-28-2012. You could always use a transport co. to bring it to you. !-909-806-0920. Send him a pm. Hope this helps.
