I had a question about replacment cables and called J and R.I tried 3 times before I got Jim. Very nice to talk with. Answered my questions and also passed on, how he mesures cabe adjustment. He mesures from the inside. Rich had passed on,another posting that showed how to DIY on cable replacment. It is still posted under cable adjustment. I am a new Hi Lo owner this year, and everyone here, on this forum, have been very helpful. Welcome to Hi Lo Forum!

Cables & Pulleys

I bought 4 new cables made to size for my 2693 Hilo last year from J&R & they cost me $219.00 before S&H. I also bought 16 pulleys 8 of them were 2" & 8 were 3" total was $108.00 before S&H. They label where each cable goes. I was very happy with the cables being made to size it made putting them in very easy.

Talked to Rob at JR today and got the current pricing on premade cables for my 20 ft. The cables are $59.95 each without the loop at the end. They would have to be cut to length and make the loop in the end which involves buying the aforementioned swaging tool. For 4 cables $239.80. They will cut them to the manufactured length and form the loop for an hour labor of$75.00 bringing the total for 4 premade cables, which would be labeled as to their position on the trailer, to $314.80. Pulleys are $8.00 for 2" and $9.00 for 3". He made me a package price for everything of $420.80. That's all cables and pulleys. Just passing this on if anyone is interested.
