So excited! We're newbies to Hi-Lo!
DH and I just bought a 1996 Hi-Lo Breeze..it's a hard side and in really great shape. Of course we'll have to do some caulking but so far so good. I love this forum and hope to draw on all y'alls experience!! Just wanted to stop and say "HI".

Hi Possum, I don't think your trailer is a hi-lo. I did see that hi-lo makes a breeze but it is a conventional hi-lo in that the top half raises and lowers. While we are mostly hi-lo owners here, no one is stodgy enough to tell you to leave iffin you bought another model. Welcome to the site!

All I can say is that the title says Hi-Lo as well as the owner's manual and its also a Tow Lite! Not that I'm disputing, but that's what all the paperwork says. What I understand that they made a hardside to withstand the snow better.....I know we are the stepchildren, but we're still related.

I must be wrong. I looked up the hi-lo breeze in a quick search and saw only the pop ups. I had no idea hi-lo made a conventional trailer! Welcome to the board.

Have you checked the serial number on the trailer with the one that is on the paper work?

The plate with the serial number probably shows the manufacturer name and place. HiLo could be either Butler, OH or Belleville, OH. HiLo has done some different designs over the years so anything is possible. They built a small non-telescoping camper trailer a couple of years ago.
To set the record straight HiLo is not a popup trailer, it is technically a telescoping travel trailer.

HiLo breeze
No matter how it turns out we are here to help you. Many of the parts are common to any RV. You mentioned recaulking. You might want to review old posts as some of our members work in the AC/Heating field. They recommended Lexell caulk that I found at my local Ace hardwear. It sells for $8.00 and is far superior with Elastomeric properties. I will never use silicone caulk again on my Rv. We have used lots of tubes of this caulk in the restoration of our trailer. It is used to seal around the exterior window after re installation with butyl tape.

That is definitely a HiLo trailer. As I said, HiLo made some "non-conventional" models over the years. You may have a collectors item there. To convince the non-believers take a photo of the serial number plate and post it here.

Thanks for the updated pictures, you made a believer out of me. You have a unique trailer, Hi-Lo also made a Breeze model that was a telescoping trailer.

When I used to live in Ohio I'd drive by the plant in Butler regularly. It was amazing all the different "non-traditional" Hi-Lo's they made. I know they made a 5th wheel and I think they made a slide in truck camper that telescoped too. Have fun with your new camper!

I just checked with my dealer friend and he said that HiLo did have a lightweight trailer back then but it did not take off for them. He sold off the remaining inventory for HiLo.

Hey Possum,
Sorry if you felt like we made you jump through hoops, but with little knowledge that hilo made a regular hard side, well, you know.. kinda like showing up at a any other "(whatever MFG) owners group" with something nobody ever knew existed...
looks pretty darn new. can you take some more shots with the camera? Because, thanks to you, now I (and I bet others) are curious about layout and furnishings!>???

HiLo breeze trailer
Learned something new today!! Would love to see pictures of the inside/layout. Maybe someone at JR Repair would know the history of this particular model.

Possum, i currently have a 97 Breeze hi lo, that i purchased in august of 2011 from someone in denver, co. and i had a new auning installed on it in december, at HIlo dealer if they still are a dealer as he had some 2011s still on cite, and what he told me was it was a towlite hilo, so yes they are still out there, I received no manuals with it at all so if you happen to have anything you wouldnt mind sharing it would be helpful to me, thanks, Warren.
