Default Suggestion! User profile

I would like to suggest to all members current and new, to go and edit your profile and put a location in there, or maybe in signature line.

No I dont mean address, but if you live in (for example) Denver or vicinity, what harm would it be to put Denver,CO in there?

If you put it in your signature, if something comes up we can search forum for the keyword "denver" or CO and find other users and maybe drop a note through this board.

I agree, takes away all the fun of asking "where are you located" when people are trying to help each other out.

Here's a quick dirty tutorial...
top left of this page, find the "User CP" (or click this

Find the left side again, click on "edit your details"
You have to go down a ways, under the "instant messaging" until you see "Additional information" section with blanks for location is one of them. if this is blank put in (per example) Denver, CO
go on down press save changes.

bear with me, if it doesnt show next time you see your own posts, in the top right corner of the post, then you will need to edit privacy settings. I set everything in my privacy settings as follows:

COntact info: Registered
Profile Pic : EVERYONE
Visitor Messages : Everyone
about me :registered members
Friends : registered members
Recent visitors: everyone
group memberships : Registered members.

WHY you set that up there? I figure anyone hunting info like with google, should be able to see my pictures, messages and albums, but to get information about me much more than that they have to join the forums.

Signature line edit is just below on that main profile pages, on left side.
(or here ).
