I thought about a clock or a mirror permanently fastened over it. Just thought someone on here may have a great idea for something I havent thought of.

RichR 08-09-2014 02:33 PM

That looks like a good spot for a clock.

Now I'm thinking vintage weather station.

I could do that but I don't know about floating it out. I'm sure joint compound would crack and chip with the movement of the trailer and I've never tried to float with vinyl spackling (and not so sure it wouldn't crack either).

I would think you would have to use a paintable silicone, but when painted it is not invisible!

Perfect place for a clock, I think!

A 50's clock with some sort of advertising?

misfit429 08-09-2014 09:15 PM

Or maybe a big 12 volt light of some sort. Gonna have to do some shopping. Clocks and lights.

cirle spot

This is the exact spot where our HiLo clock is. Perhaps you could get one from a Classic that is being sold for parts.

Here is a place that sells clock inserts: Clock Inserts and Clock Dials - Klockit

How about a neon light?

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I like the neon idea except it would have to be 12 volt since the only 110 power in top half is the AC. And Thanks Rich for the link. I think I will buy one of those inserts a little over 6 inches and open the hole up a bit more so it will fit. The hole is now around 4 inches but thats gonna be a little small for a clock. Thanks again everyone for the feedback.

Only one photo to add this week. Didn't get much work done last weekend. This weekend doesn't look much better.

The latest project is fitting this oven in. Watching paint dry now. In the meantime I got my upholstery material in so might as well wrap these bumper pads!

Remodeling

Your project is coming along nicely. Many use a toaster oven as it is a huge space saver.

misfit429 08-19-2014 09:23 PM

I just can't see paying $500 for a new stove for it. Plus the gas line to it has been cut off. The previous owners removed the stove and put in a microwave. That seems like the biggest waste of space there could be. Let's face it, nothing very healthy comes out of a microwave.;)
