Thanks for the quick reply. I will need to compress the cylinder. Several suggestions were listed as to how to do this. Thought that may be the case (at least I was hoping).

Guide rail

Nice article, but a question.

Can the guide rail be removed without removing the hydraulic ram or removing the pulley assembly at the end of the ram?

Mine is bent.
