Re: Raised then Nothing!

Thoughts on size (length)
The 22' trailer with tow vehicle is about 40 feet long. Most of the sites I've seen are cut out to accommodate two cars and are about 40' long.
I too looked at the smaller trailers. Although I...

Re: Mileage
I get between 13 and 15 mpg with truck and trailer fully loaded. About the same when I'm in 4WD, about 250 miles to the tank.

Re: Nice Pics....a question?
Replied to your query on the other/separate post. Just wanted to add that this floor plan is my favorite, of all that I have seen. For example, the 4 burner stove/oven has a foot and a half of...

Re: Nice Pics....a question?
Mine has the dinette/bed midway along the right side, and the couch/bed in front. I have cabinets up front, instead of the optional bunk bed. That's the basic floor plan I've seen for the '89 22'...

Any Hi-Lo Owners Going South For The Winter?
I've ended up in south central Texas for the second year. This year, I've decided to camp closer to the trout stream, at Rio Raft & Resort. Year round trout fishing on the Guadalupe tailrace. Winter...

Good question, and Jack's reply is one aspect I hadn't thought of. I'm usually dry camped when I use my trailer battery for my pontoon. You could just throw your Frig onto LP while you're out fishing.

But it's a 'dry' cold...
Probably the coldest weather I've camped in was last winter at Four Corners. Easily around 20 with a 20-30 mph wind chill. I was dry camped and fishing. The water lines froze up and stopped working...

They have one menu, Chicken Dinner, and it's great food. A couple of their recipes, the slaw and the creamed corn are available. The Chicken Recipe is still a secret I guess. Here's a search like for...

Air Bags...
I'm using Firestone Bags on My '99 Chevy truck. I started with them installed alone, with an air line and valve stem on each side. Sweet ride, but it meant I had to get out my little 12v air...

On my '89, I removed each pulley bolt and the whole cable is free. You'll never get the all-thread tip out if you don't. The hardest part was the final lag bolt that attaches the cable to the upper...

1989 22' FunChaser and '99 K1500
I'm the second owner on the Hi-Lo, and have had it for eight years. The Chevy now has 243,000 miles on the original engine. It's a great road trip... I've caught a trout in 15 States, been to 10...

Snow Towing
The trailer tows fine in the snow. I don't go faster than 25, and just enjoy the drive. Just remember that the trailer ground clearance is less than your vehicle. In deep snow, it tows like a snow...

PV panel
Yeah, it's not a crack. The previous owner cobbed on a solar panel and wired it to the battery. I've since cut off the wire, because the panel was trickle charger size. I picked up a 65 watt 4 panel...

Yes, the rear light switch is a remote switch for the shower light. I'm guessing that the people at Hi-Lo felt that the shower curtain is usually in the way of the shower stall light when you enter...
