how do u know the date code where on tire is it?
It's on the sidewall - a 4 digit number where the first two digits are the week and the last two are the year. Here's what Tire Rack says about this: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiret...170722040304:s

As you can see, it may not be printed on both sides of the tire. I believe it's always in an "oval" however, at least that's the only place I've seen it.

Thanks Jack. I believe it is preceded by three letters such as "DBG". Not that we have the codes, but these letters designate the factory where made. There are some differences!

My 21' 1999 Tow Lite, bought two weeks ago today, has the following specs according to the manual. TowLite Weight Specifications-
Model 19' 21' 24'

Hitch weight 320 375 425
Axle weight 2380 2585 2895
UVW 2700 2940 3320
Carrying Capacity 1000 1000 1180
GVCR 3700 3940 4500

The previous owner agreed to buy new tires at my expense and grease the wheel bearings while he had the wheels off. I had read much of the forum here and had asked him to acquire Load D trailer tires, but none were readily available in our little town and he bought and installed Load C Minos ST 175 80/R17 which have max load of 1300 lbs, but the tire wall indicates only 1200 lbs per tire with two tires. What does that mean? It appears the 4 Minos tires are suitable for up to 4800 x 80% or 3800 lbs so if the 2940 UVW is close to correct, I'm good to go? I will go to a weigh station when I get the rig on the road and finally make my first short test camping trip within a week.
I just got her licensed today and see no place to put the license plate. Can I tape it to the inside of the bathroom window?
