Default Military Hi-Lo..... ahh sorta

been here snooping and brainstorming for 4 years. Moved away from Hi-Lo conversion thoughts of past... but back cause well... I got a Hi-Lo of sorts

will hopefully glean something from you folk about my Cargo Bed Cover that works like a Hi-Lo..... well lift mechanism wise. Its been hinted that it is a cable system of some sort and mine is broken.

will report back when it gets delivered and I can take pics to compare lift systems

Looks like a fun project... Now, I'm trying to figure out how I could build a custom "camper" in my truck bed with a hydraulic lift system.

(Just brought the idea up with my wife and she gave me the patented "Are you out of your mind?" look which means it's a great idea, right? haha!)

there is a company that sells a kit which turns a standard truck bed cap into one that lifts for home brew tiny bed mounted Hi-Lo... or just for more space like.... fitting lawnmower in bed with top still on

Just looked over the prices... Wow! Not looking to buy a decent bed topper, then pay $2,000 + extra for addons. For $3,000, I'd much rather make something cheaper, yet more sturdy.

Default Military Hi-Lo sort of

This is the way I did it. 1968 20 footer with the axles removed and I added a subframe for electric camper jacks. Yes, it basically loads and unloads itself.
