I was given a tip on this forum before putting 'er away for the winter. Took 'er out of mothballs today and tried the tip. Worked so well I thought I would repeat it for other new campers, like me....

Ran across this on the internet. Hope I can explain it well enough.

Thanks for all the input.
My TV drops one foot or more when I hook up.
I've come to a few conclusions, based on this discussion.
1. I have to go to a scale and measure weights before I can...

Hello to you!

In part, due to the great answers I've received on this forum, I dared to venture out to Charleston, SC for three days. Extended my distance to 150 miles.
I learned something there from another...

Hitch Placement

OK, I'm drivin' you all nuts with questions!

Thanks!

All makes sense. Sad story on the gas station accident. We very wise Hi-Lo owners don't have to worry about that! Hopefully, one day I'll be answering questions instead of asking them all.
BTW,...

Sewer Hookup

Well, despite our first practice camping trip's rather humorous calamities, we're trying again and extending our distance. I have a space reserved that has sewer hookup. Do I connect waste hose and...

Tow Vehicle Shock Absorbers

My TV is a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport rated to pull 5000 lbs. I've had a few people comment, when I hook up, that the TV drops too much in the back. One guy commented that the shocks may have...

Problem solved

Fuse blew when controller was cranked up to 7.5 or above. The higher the setting, the firmer the brakes and the more current drawn. Turns out wiring package and controller were separate packages...

Roadside

I decided on Good Sam. My understanding is there is no towing mileage limit as with AAA and they will tow trailer and tow vehicle if necessary. Also, I get the idea that they are trailer...

Very helpful, thanks. I'd about decided on them and just needed some conformation. I think AAA has a towing mileage limit and, as I said, someone commented that AAA phone contact doesn't know the...
