California Hi-Lo Club?
This post is to gauge interest in anyone out there interested in forming a "club" for California Hi-Lo owners (residency not necessarily required). I've already heard from a couple of you so I know there is some interest!
My thought is not so much of a formal organization with elected officers, dues, etc., but more of an informal group that can camp together, exchange knowledge and ideas, etc. (kind of an extension of this forum). If you are interested, send me a Private Message and we can exchange contact info.
By the way, I will be leaving to go overseas for a couple of weeks starting next Sunday and returning March 3rd so if you don't hear back from me right away, I'm not ignoring you!
Thanks,

Forming a HiLo Club
A HiLo Club can be as informal as you want it to be. Our club only gets together in April for some fine dinning and we camp again in May and Sept. No dues or formal officers. The internet makes it easy to communicate with one another.

Thanks, Sam. I think we'll keep it casual.
Back from our trip now so if anyone is interested in getting together later this year send me a PM and we'll exchange email addresses.

Just got back from a visit with grandkids in San Diego. On the way down, my wife and I met up with Garry from Riverside County (a really nice guy, I might add!) so we could put faces to names and do some initial discussions of a possible California Hi-Lo club. We agreed that we want to keep it informal and casual, and that we probably wouldn't be able to do a camp out until after Summer, probably early Fall, due to family obligations and previously planned trips.
If anyone is interested, send me or Garry a Private Message and we'll add you to our e-mail list so we can start planning our first get-together. Thanks again, Garry!

Don't know if I'm too late, but as a new owner and solo traveler, would like to meet up with other owners and learn about my "new to me" trailer. Just purchased a 2004 170T TowLite and excited to learn all about it!
I'm located in Redwood Country, Humboldt County

Well, you're not that far away! Are there any get togethers in the near future or anytime in the future? I've got some trips planned in July for the Brookings, OR Kite festival and in August up in Tillamook, OR area.
Most of my camping is done in Oregon or Washington.

forgot to add that you've probably attended some of the Wine Country Corgi events then? Had a wonderful time with that group. I also belong to RVW.

Hi RewoodCorgi,
We are in the process of forming a casual camping club and are gauging interest. Please send me a PM with your email address, if interested.
Due to prior commitments, Garry and I have talked about getting together for our first campout in the latter part of October. We haven't pinned down the exact dates or place yet but hope to as soon as we get a few folks on board. Hope to hear from you!

Luckydog,
Have you heard about the Halloween bash held 2 or 3 weekends at 49er Village in Plymouth? We were there a couple of years ago and had 500 trick or treaters. The kids trick or treat the camp sites and the adults trick out their sites, including haunted houses. And since you have met Les, you can imagine what our campsite looked like.

Howdy California Hi-Lo Campers!
Garry and I have been talking and we would like to get some feedback from those interested in our first campout this October. This first one will mostly be a meet and greet, an opportunity to check out each other's rigs, do a little sightseeing, and to have some fun together!
For locations, we want to remain flexible and keep both public (National, State and Local parks) and private campgrounds (Good Sam, etc.) as options. As such, we are thinking of moving the date up to early-to-mid October as many of the public campgrounds in the western Sierra close around the third week of October. If you have any location suggestions, please respond to this post or send us a private message (PM). Our goal is to keep it a fair traveling distance for all. So far we have members from Riverside County to Sonoma County so keep that in mind!
We've heard from a few of you and have your e-mail addresses but if you have not yet sent a PM to either Garry or myself, please do so and we'll add you to our list.
Thanks!

Redwood, I've sent a message to Les (campthewestcoast), one of the forum moderators, to see what the issue may be.
