That carpet is not easy to remove. It is stapled down, not put in on tack strips. Use a flat bar and hammer to drive under the carpet edge and pry up. These are large staples and they either have to be removed or hammered down flush with the floor before putting in your new wood floor. One of the problems I ran into is these trailers are built for quantity and not quality so nothing was square. Get ready to cut stuff out of square to fit or cut it short and cover gaps with trim. Sounds like a good color scheme but I'm worried about the black absorbing heat from the sun in the summer. But the AC is usually much bigger than needed for a small trailer so it should be OK.
