Default Where can I buy a Solenoid for Lift motor

Where can I buy solenoid for lift motor?

My 2004 Towlite 22T would not lift up this morning. The moment I touched the up switch I heard what sounded exactly like a gun shot from a pistol. Top would not move. I jumped the solenoid and could hear motor run. Had to manually raise top.

I think you can find these at an automobile supply store. As far as I know, they are just automobile starter solenoids. Try something like Checker, Pep Boys, etc. I'd take the old one with you if you want a matching part, which should simplify reassembly.

Default Found a Replacement Solenoid

Pulled the old solenoid and on the solenoid was name of manufacturer and product number. Went online to Amazon and they have the exact one by name and number and it will be delivered by 10 PM today. Cost was $22.

I got mine on Amazon, thought the new one went bad so order another one, but found out it was not the solenoid that was bad.
